autumn: I never thought a few months ago it was even possible to quit smoking. I would wake up in the middle of the night and look forward to hitting my pen to even be able to stay asleep. It was to the point I relied on it to keep me awake during the day and couldn’t handle my anxiety after a while. I needed to hit it at least 1 a hour. Now that I don’t do it I feel way more motivated to get through the day and not need a nap before every task. I am able to make it through the whole work day without feeling sick too!! I can use my healthy coping skills finally and feel a lot better without it. I am so glad I took this journey. It wasn’t easy at first but now I am SOO HAPPY I am not smoking any longer!! My family says they notice me being more present in conversations and I’m able to live life normally again!!
brit: after smoking everyday; all day for 13 years i reached a point we’re in didn’t feel as if it was serving me anymore. i’ve been going strong with my sobriety journey. it’s been hard but having other people in the same situation as i am helps me to feel like i’m not alone in my journey. i’m also so grateful for the community you’ve created of such positive and supportive people. i’m so happy to be a part of this amazing group.
returning to my written intention (step2) whenever i’m having a weak moment. i keep a copy in my notes app, in my room and in my car. i’m much more motivated; with work, personal life and working out. I don’t binge eat at night anymore since i’ve stopped smoking. im able to relax without “needing” to smoke. i’m finally having dreams again!
